Jordan Grimes suffered a career ending right ankle injury while right guard for Purdue while playing Penn State Nov. 7, 2007. With hopes of a recovery, Jordan persued what looked like a promising NFL Career. After months of training and a dramatic decline in his recovery, it became obvious that reconstructive surgery would be required to live a normal and producative life. This experience is what sets Jordan apart from other trainers. He understands the struggles athletes deal with from personal experience and has paid the ultimate sacrifice in athletics. His recovery from his injury, ability to bounce back from a tramatic experience, and his ability to find his own success aside from athletics shows how the mental strengths from athletics can translate to real life.
My name is Jordan Grimes, I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and former All Big Ten athlete. When I suffered a career ending ankle injury on my way to what looked to be a promising NFL career I began to struggle with my weight and motivation to exercise. I then applied my experiences with the mental, physical, and technical aspects of my athletic career toward achieving my own health and fitness goals, as well as those of my clients. Commitment and determination takes mental toughness. Break barriers by challenging yourself physically. Accelerate results and prevent injury through proper exercise technique. Apply these aspects with the determination of an athlete and reach any goal you desire. |
